Rome is where our proportions come from. Italian eyewear taught us the shape of a good frame long before we made one, and we went to look at it directly. The materials, the workshops, the men who have worn the same glasses for thirty years. We came back with a sharper sense of what we were building on, and less patience for anything decorative.
